I only read when my OCD kicks in
I enjoy reading, however, the bulk of reading only occurs while I am in an OCD focus zone. Last year I read over 70 books but I didn't pick up a book from August 2013 until March 25, 2014... I have already read 3 books this year!
God's War (Bel Dame Apocrypha)
What a book! I loved it, I hated it, and then I loved it again. The main character of Nyx has no redeeming attributes whatsoever. She is godless, a whore, no loyalties, and a money grubber. Yet with all of those you are rooting for her and yet she comes out the good person. I'm still puzzled and dazzled by this story. I'm not sure how it works but it does for me.
The concept of taking the two main religions on this planet and transposing them on another surprisingly works. Kameron does a fine job of creating a new world spun from her mind to form on paper. I highly recommend this book to anyone that wants an action packed story.
